That was the congratulatory phrase being heard over and over again on Tuesday as Norwegians waved their flags and celebrated their national day on the 17th of May. Our website, “Views and News from Norway,” had reason to celebrate as well.
It was two years ago on the 17th of May, Norway’s Constitution Day, that we officially launched this site offering Norwegian news, features and commentary in English.
Today we have thousands of readers clicking in every day from all over the world and we’re still trying to keep up with the Norwegians.The goal is to share their news and traditions with expatriates living both here in Norway and those interested in Norway who live outside this small but vibrant country.
So as we celebrate our second birthday, along with the 197th anniversary of Norway’s constitution, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank our readers and advertisers for your interest. And, as always, we hope you’ll support our site so we can keep the news coming your way.
