Autopsy results have revealed that a three-year-old boy died last week of stab wounds and blows to the head. His 13-year-old foster brother has admitted to the murder, as details from the shocking case in western Norway continued to emerge.
Bernt Norvalls of the Stord Police District in Hordaland County told news bureau NTB that the murder took place in the garage of the 13-year-old’s home. The young teenager then called for his father, and attacked him with a knife as well. The father suffered injuries that later were determined to be minor.
Investigators now know what happened at the family home last Thursday afternoon, where the toddler had been placed in foster care. They still don’t know why, however, and the 13-year-old has revealed no motive.
He is now at a psychiatric clinic for youth in Haugesund, where doctors are examining him. Since he’s underaged, he can’t be jailed in accordance with Norwegian law.
“We are still looking for a motive in the case, to get some answers,” Norvalls told NTB.
