Bus collision injures 24

A head-on collision between two buses at Lindeberg in Oslo Monday morning left 24 people injured, three of them seriously. The driver of one of the buses was pinned in the wreckage and had to be cut loose by rescue crews from the Oslo Fire Department.

Police said three people were rushed to hospital, including the injured driver, and 21 others were sent to Legevakt, the local emergency clinic.

The accident occurred on Jerikoveien at Lindeberg, on Oslo’s east side. Police said roads were slick in the area, but they had not yet determined the cause of the accident that also involved a truck. An investigation was underway.
