A small airport in northern airport closed for all passenger traffic on Monday, after the company hired in for baggage handling went bankrupt.
The acting chief of the airport at Bardufoss, Reidar Johansen, told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) that its three to four daily departures by airlines SAS and Norwegian were being transferred to either Tromsø or Evenes airports. Passengers would be taken by bus to and from the other airports.
He said it was difficult to know when flights could resume to and from Bardufoss.
NRK reported that the disruption came after Bardufoss Flyservice went into bankruptcy proceedings.
