Two persons have been admitted to hospitals in Norway, diagnosed with the H1N1 virus known as swine flu. The cases follow a recurrence of the disease in Sweden as well.
Norwegian health authorities said they didn’t expect a major outbreak, but were prepared.
News site VG Nett reported that the two patients diagnosed with swine flu were a small child and a man in his 60s. The child was admitted to hospital on Christmas Eve and had been taken off a respirator as of the past weekend. The older man was considered to be in a high-risk group and was admitted to hospital on December 30.
