Train service between Oslo and the main airport at Gardermoen was back on schedule Friday morning after a bomb hoax halted all traffic for several hours Thursday evening.
An investigation was underway, reported Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK), into who left a note on an NSB train that indicated a bomb had been placed on board.
The note led to the evacuation of the train station at Gardermoen and abruptly halted train service through the station as thousands were traveling at the start of the Christmas holiday weekend. Police with specially trained dogs searched the train, found no bomb and train service resumed around 10:30pm.
Airline service at the airport itself, however, was not disrupted nor was the airport terminal affected.
