Despite the storm, ‘happy holidays!’

Norwegians were still digging out after a hurricane during the Christmas weekend that caused severe damage all over the country. Many tried to keep their spirits up, though, like this skier who faced fallen trees with a smile near Holmenkollen in Oslo.

After a long, challenging and hectic year, full of seemingly endless breaking news, it almost seemed fitting that not even the Christmas weekend could pass without dramatic events. Now, with many Norwegians off work and home for the holidays, some even at peaceful traditional farms like this one, we hope you enjoy some seasonal cheer wherever you may be. Thanks for clicking in, and as the Norwegians would say, “fortsatt god jul!”
Cheers,
