Brutal murder in Kristiansand

Police in Kristiansand on Norway’s southern coast were calling in national crime unit Kripos to help investigate  a murder that reportedly resembles an execution. Another bizarre death in the area, apparently unrelated, has been linked to the Hell’s Angels.

Alarms rang on Thursday when police were called to the banks of the river flowing through Kristiansand, the Otra. There they found the body of a Norwegian man in his 20s.

Newspaper Aftenposten reported Friday that the man apparently had been shot in the head and then had his throat cut at a nearby apartment. His body was then believed to have been thrown in the river.

Another man was stabbed in the apartment, but survived. Police reportedly think the violence is linked to loan sharks demanding money from their victims.

Meanwhile, police were also called this week to an old power station in Vennesla, just north of Kristiansand, where a man was found drowned in a turbine tank. Another man was found beaten, but TV2 and other media reported the dead man and two others were linked to the Hell’s Angels motorcycle and were allegedly beating the victim when one of them fell into the tank and drowned.
