Neighbours in an apartment complex in the oldest part of Oslo, Gamlebyen, were awakened by screams Friday morning. Police were summoned and they found three men stabbed, one fatally, in and just outside one of the residential units.
The drama began around 6:30am at the apartment building at Alnagata 20 in Oslo, reported Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK). The three victims were found bleeding and were rushed to Ullevål University Hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The two others were later said to be in stable condition
There were reports that another man was seen running from the scene, and police launched a search including use of the Oslo Police District’s helicopter. No arrests had been made by midday.
Police had no information on a motive for the stabbings. The three victims, all Norwegian men aged 20, 28 and 31, reportedly had police records.
