Hell’s Angels raided, leader arrested

Police raided several locations around Norway on Wednesday and arrested the man they believe is the leader of the Hell’s Angels motorcycle club, in what Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) called a major narcotics crackdown.

All told, nine persons were taken into custody, charged with drug violations. “This action is tied to central members of the Hell’s Angels, but we don’t want to say where the suspects live,” Odd Morten Pettersen of the Troms Police District in northern Norway told NRK.

He said those arrested are connected to the motorcycle club both in Tromsø and other places in Norway.

The Troms Police District led the operation in cooperation with police in Oslo and Hedmark, eastern Norway. Police raided the Hell’s Angels clubhouse at Alnabru in Oslo at 11am Wednesday.

In addition to the nine men taken into custody, several others were arrested after police found them to be in possession of narcotics.
