Norwegian director Hans Petter Moland had a good week in Berlin, where his new film En ganske snill man (A Somewhat Gentle Man) was featured in the Berlin Film Festival. It won rave reviews and the prestigious readers’ prize from Germany’s second-largest newspaper Berliner Morgenpost. The top prize from the festival itself, however, went to the Turkish film Bal (Honey), producted by Semih Kaplanoglu. Moland was glad his Norwegian film was shown at the festival, where it won praise as a comedy from international critics who liked its offbeat humor and performance by Stellan Skarsgård.
