A rollerskier has started exercising for the next skiing season along a freeway in Oslo. Rollerskis look set to become a big hit this summer, with suppliers reporting a sales increase of 30-40 percent over last year, according to newspaper Dagens Næringsliv (DN). While rolling skis used to be the domain of top-level competition skiers, the idea of rolling along paved roads with skis and poles is now catching on among slightly less ambitious skiers. Earlier, the season for this kind of equipment used to start in August, but this year people started buying as soon as the snow had melted, one retailer told DN.
