Coca-Cola Drikker, the Norwegian unit of the international beverage company, has won a national prize for its effort to integrate a diverse workforce.
The so-called Mangfoldsprisen was presented to Coca-Cola Drikker by government minister Tora Aasland, for the company’s efforts to accommodate workers from 46 countries and several different religions.
Among the measures taken by Coca-Cola are creation of a prayer room for Muslim employees, an offer of Norwegian classes during work hours and an in-house panel of employees who advise management on diversity and integration issues.
