The California rock band holding the concert in Paris that was stormed by extremist Islamic terrorists Friday night has cancelled its upcoming appearance in Oslo, as expected. The band, Eagles of Death Metal (EODM), has now returned to the US.
“While the band is now home safe, we are horrified and still trying to come to terms with what happened in France,” the band wrote on social media Wednesday. They were scheduled to perform at the Sentrum Scene theater in Oslo next week on the US’ Thanksgiving Day, November 26, but have now cancelled all their appearances, “until further notice.”
The band thanked the French police, the FBI, the US and French foreign ministries and “all those at ground zero with us who helped each other as best they could during this unimaginable ordeal, proving once again that love overshadows evil.”
“Vive la musique, vive la liberté, vive de France, and vive EODM,” the band wrote.
