US President Donald Trump’s newly launched campaign to deport illegal aliens includes 39 Norwegians, according to documents from US immigration authorities. They’re now subject to being tracked down and sent back to Norway.
Newspaper Dagbladet reported Tuesday on how Trump has ordered immigration officials to intensify their hunts for people in the US who have overstayed their visas and/or lack residence permission. As many as 1.4 million people have been issued deportation orders but haven’t left the US.
Most come from countries south of the US border, in Mexico, Central- and South America, but many also come from elsewhere in the world. In addition to the 39 Norwegians now subject to forcible deportation are 120 people from Sweden, 22 from Finland and 45 from Denmark.
