PHOTO SERIES: Norway’s Air Force celebrated its 100th anniversary over the weekend with exhibits on the ground and an air show overhead that drew tens of thousands of people to the capital. From Norway’s oldest plane in the air to a model of Norway’s new F35 fighter jet, crowds could “ooh and ah” as Saturday’s events played out in spectacular weather. The climax of the day was a performance by fighter jet pilots from France, who even formed a heart over the skies of Oslo, a symbol that’s often been used as a tribute to the victims of last year’s terrorist attacks. These photos were taken from just behind the new Tjuvholmen complex on Oslo’s waterfront.
