A new overview of foreign aid contributions from countries attached to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) places Norway at the top. It confirms how Norway still aims to share its wealth, especially when there’s a war on the European continent.
News bureau NTB reports that Norway committed 1.09 percent of its gross national product to foreign aid last year. The number includes its ongoing support for Ukraine, but also new and existing aid projects elsewhere in the world.
The small country of Luxembourg landed in second place on the OECD list, after donating 0.99 percent of its national revenues. Sweden was in third place, with 0.91. percent.
