On the same day that a local rafting firm in Dagali advertised rafting as “No risk, no fun,” a woman in her 20s from Oslo was killed while out rafting in Seterdalen in Dagali with other tourists.
Local newspaper Hallingdølen reported that two rafts were heading down the river together on Saturday afternoon when the boat in which the woman sat capsized. She was lying in the water for 20 minutes and was lifeless when brought to shore.
She was flown by helicopter to Ullevål University Hospital in Oslo where her condition initially was listed as critical. The Nordre Buskerud Police District reported later that she had died.
Other survivors in the boat received crisis help and police praised their efforts at trying to save the woman’s life. An investigation into the accident was underway.
