An 86-year-old man was robbed at his home in Bergen early Friday morning by two masked men who held a knife to the elderly man’s throat. They threatened him into turning over valuables and the keys to his car, before they used it to make their getaway.
Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reported that police found the car around two hours after the dramatic robbery was first reported at 7:40am. Police couldn’t immediately say what else was stolen from the man’s home on Nordahl Rolfsensvei in Bergen.
The two robbers reportedly spoke poor Norwegian and police launched a major manhunt on Friday to track them down. The victim was badly shaken by the robbery, but police said he was not otherwise physically injured. He was escorted to police headquarters for further questioning.
