More than 200 people were evacuated after fire broke out in a shopping center in Bodø Wednesday evening, and neighbours remained under evacuation orders on Thursday. The blaze was still not under control by midday.
Reinforcements were sent from other local police and fire districts, and they reported that the heat from the blaze at the Hunstad shopping center was declining. Smoke remained a major problem, however, and they were struggling to keep the fire from spreading.
The fire is believed to have started in a furniture store. There were no reports of injuries.
