More refugees arrive from Ukraine

Norway’s national immigration agency UDI reports that 166 new asylum seekers from Ukraine arrived in the country on Wednesday alone. All told, 907 arrived in the preceding week.

Arrivals appear stable, with UDI (Utlendingsdirektoratet) noting that 165 Ukrainians arrived on Monday and another 174 on Tuesday.

Since the beginning of 2022, a total of 55,622 Ukrainians have sought asylum in Norway, including 24,752 women, 13,756 men and 17,114 children. Most all have been granted asylum since Russia invaded and launched its war on Ukraine 18 months ago, on February 24, 2022.
