Police in Rogaland, Western Norway, have arrested and charged two men in their 30s after two others were found murdered over the weekend in Kopervik on the island of Karmøy. One of the victims was identified on Wednesday as Jonny Myklebust, age 60.
The other victim was a woman in her 50s who still hasn’t been identified publicly. The two were found dead in two separate residential units at a care center in Kopervik on Saturday, and the two arrests were made on Sunday.
“We are continuing both the technical and tactical investigation in the case, and how it evolved,” stated prosecutor Mona Byrkjedal on Wednesday, adding that she couldn’t reveal more details. The local court ordered both of the murder suspects to be held in isolation for several weeks to prevent any tampering with evidence.
