A 17-year-old boy from Stavanger faces an unusually lengthy jail term after the Sør-Rogaland Court found him guilty of being an accessory to two gang murders in Sweden. Both murders have been tied to the international Foxtrot network that preys on underage boys to carry out its crimes and punishment.
The murders took place in Lund in southeastern Sweden on January 28 last year and in Stockholm on February 24, 2025. The Stavanger boy was only 15 at the time and admitted to this crimes. He’s also been convicted of three attempted murders in England and Stavanger, for attempts at human trafficking, rape, violence and threats against prison guards.
The gravity of his offenses brought a harsh response from the Norwegian court, which now has more authority to react than minors or their minders could earlier expect. Prosecutors sought 15 years of jail time with forvaring, which means judges in the future can keep him in jail if he’s still deemed a threat to society. The court granted 14 years with a minimum of nine years in prison before being eligible for a new judge’s evaluation.
Meanwhile, in England, another teenager from Stavanger risks life in prison after he also is believed to have carried out serious crimes in England that were related to the recent case in the Sør-Rogaland court. His mother has criticized Norwegian police and prosecutors for not demanding extradition of her son from the UK back to Norway for trial, where he’d also been charged.
Norwegian officials have responded that they investigated the possibility of getting his case transferred to Norway, but British authorities wanted to handle it in Great Britain.
