Strong wind cancelled concerts

Six of the concerts making up the annual Slottsfjell music festival in Tønsberg were cancelled on Saturday because of strong winds. The organizers had to close off areas that were considered unsafe for the public.

The stormy weather disrupted the last day of the popular festival, not least the performances of bands including Orango, Little Simz, Comet Kid, 1349, Ila Auto and Gnarwolves. They were all due to perform on stages in the highest areas of the hill in Tønsberg where the festival plays out. It was cordoned off instead.

Local police gave the festival organizers to hold concerts until as late as 1am because of the problems created by the weather. More than 30 performers had yet to play when the winds hit hard Saturday afternoon.
