A new arrival at a zoo in Kristiansand on Norway’s south coast, a rare red panda bear, surprised everyone this week by giving birth to two cubs.
Officials at the Dyreparken zoological gardens admitted they had no idea that the female panda had already had an adventure before moving from a zoo in Switzerland earlier this year.
They said all three bears seem to be in good shape.
The red panda hails from the Himalaya region and is classified as an endangered species.
