Police in Oslo have finally been able to identify the body of a man found inside a pipe at the construction site for the new Munch Museum at Bjørvika. Newspaper Aftenposten reported on Tuesday that he’s been identified as a Swedish citizen in his 30s.
The body was discovered by a crane operator at the construction site last week. The site was immediately shut down and police were baffled when the body was found to be nearly naked and lacking any ID.
Police are now investigating the death as “suspicious” but still weren’t calling it a murder probe. The victim’s name was not released publicly, and police weren’t sure what ties he had to Oslo.
