Still no contact from woman’s kidnappers

There still haven’t been any signs of life from Anne-Elisabeth Falkevik Hagen, the 68-year-old wife of wealthy Norwegian investor Tom Hagen. Police still believe she was kidnapped from the Hagen’s home in Fjellhamar, but there’s been no contact from any alleged kidnappers.

Police had hoped that when they finally went public with the case last week, it would prod any abductors to take contact. The Hagen family issued an appeal through their lawyer, Svein Holden, earlier this week, for contact and confirmation that Anne-Elisabeth Hagen was alive and well. There’s been no known response.

Several international crime agencies are also now involved in the search for Hagen, including Interpol, Europol and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She’s been missing for nearly 80 days, after disappearing on October 31, 2018. Her husband found ransom demands in his home, for EUR 9 million in crypto currency.
