Another bomb threat hits Norwegian Air

A Norwegian Air flight from Oslo to Alta in Northern Norway was evacuated right after landing on Wednesday, after it became the target of a bomb threat while in the air.

A passenger claimed via the airline’s chat service that he was on board the flight and had a bomb. Police responded with all available units and a man who refused to go along with police instructions was arrested. He later was determined not to have had anything to do with the bomb threat.

Passengers were evacuated in groups of 10, were told to leave their carry-on items behind and prepare to be questioned and searched. All incoming flights to Alta were halted, and an investigation was underway into who posted the threat.

There were no injuries, no explosion and the aircraft remained parked on the tarmac until it could be checked by a police bomb squad being sent from Oslo. It was the second bomb threat against Norwegian this month.
