Many of Norway’s most prominent actors will be playing parts in a new Netflix series based on Norwegian author Jo Nesbø’s crime character Harry Hole. The streaming service revealed more of the series’ cast this week, three months after filming got underway in Oslo.
News bureau NTB reports that in addition to actor Tobias Santelmann, who’ll play Hole, the case will include Anders Baasmo Christiansen, Kåre Conradi, Atle Antonsen, Henriette Steenstrup, Agnes Kittelsen and many others well-known to Norwegian audiences. A few Swedish actors are also included in the cast of the series, for which Nesbø himself has written the script.
Filming of the series, called Jo Nesbø’s Harry Hole, began at Carl Berners Plass in May. It’s due to premier on Netflix with its first season of nine episodes in 2026.
