An estimated 20,000 party-minded people were expected to gather at the Telenor Arena outside Oslo on Saturday for “Sensation Norway,” a Dutch-organized showcase for club and electronic music featuring loud sound and lightshows.
The Sensation crowd is told to come dressed in white if they expect to be let into the event. If they don’t, they’ll get their ticket money back but be turned away at the door.
Organizers told newspaper Dagsavisen that around 6,000 Norwegians attend a major Sensation event in Amsterdam every year. So they decided to mount an event in Norway.
“We have arranged parties all over the world now, and Norway is a country where the club culture is strong,” Duncan Stutterheim of Sensation told Dagsavisen. Norwegian DJ Nils Noa will be among those on stage, in addition to Marco V, Benny Benassi, Sander van Doorn, Funkagenda and Avicii of Sweden.
