Norwegian police are investigating three more cases of murder and family violence from Nordland in the north to Drangedal in the south. In the latter case, though, police now think the death of a 50-year-old woman may have been an accident.
They’d initially charged her partner with murdering her after she was found dead in a forested area in Drangedal in Telemark last weekend. Her 47-year-old partner had called police himself and he remains in custody while the investigation continues.
In another case last week, the son of a woman found dead in Vestnes in Romsdal has been charged with severe violence resulting in her death, and for severe violence against his little brother. The child was flown to St Olavs Hospital in Trondheim for treatment, where his condition was described as stable.
Meanwhile, in Grane in Nordland, a man was found with injuries later reportedly tied to use of a chainsaw, which was seized as evidence in the case. An injured woman was also found near the scene and police said they had a suspect in custody.
